Fabian Doñate was appointed to serve as the Senator to Senate District 10 in February 2021 becoming the youngest lawmaker in the Nevada Senate. In November of 2022 Senator Doñate was elected to continue to serve in SD 10, district he had lived in since he was 2 years old, and in December of that year he became chair of the Nevada Latino Legislative Caucus.
Senator Doñate is the son of Mexican immigrants and members of the Culinary Union and UFCW. He was first in his family to graduate from college, he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health from the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) and earned a Master's in Public Health from the University of Maryland.
